Volunteer at K9 Rescue Group

    Home//Volunteer at K9 Rescue Group

K9 Rescue Group rely heavily on our incredibly valuable volunteers to ensure our four-legged friends are given the TLC they deserve, as well as our office effectively managed.

Potential Volunteers are required to attend an induction and will receive continued training. This induction/training is vitally important, because it increases the chances of each dog in our care being adopted, as well as maximises the effective operation of our office and kennels.

The task of helping animals is not always an easy one, but it is an incredibly rewarding experience. As a volunteer you will be working towards giving our four-legged friends a better life and a new home. You might even make some friends along the way and gain valuable experience in the animal care industry.

There are a number ways you can help: Dog Handler, Kennel Hand, Office Administrator, Gardener, Fundraising Co-Ordinator, Fundraising Assistant.

If you can spare a few hours a week, you have the ability to make a huge difference to K9 Rescue and the dogs in our care. We require that you be over 18 and be prepared to offer a regular commitment, even if it’s just a couple of hours per week or fortnight.

Following this, you will be contacted and notified of the next induction date. Please note if you require K9 Rescue Group to organise a Police Clearance on your behalf, there will be a $15 fee on the date of your induction. Once you have completed your training shifts you can then purchase a K9 uniform.
